Project Requests

Project requests must be submitted through e-Builder, Mason's project management system. 
If you do not have an e-Builder account, request an account by completing the Mason e-Builder Account Request Form or contact your Space Liaison to submit a request on your behalf.  

The Office of Planning, Design, and Construction oversees strategic land planning, campus master planning, long range utility planning, exterior architectural standards, landscape architectural standards, space standards and management guidelines, and campus art standards.

If your project needs Information Technology Services (ITS), please refer to their Service Catalog for more information.  Based on the needs of your project, you may need to submit an ITS support request.

Requestors will be notified of the status of their request once it has been reviewed by Facilities Staff.  If you need to make a change to an existing request, please email ebuilder@gmu.edu

Depending on the size and scope of a project, there are different phases it must undergo, starting with an idea or concept, and ending in construction. The timeline varies in each phase depending on the complexity of the project.  A Facilities Project Request is required for any project that involves the following:

  • Interior/Exterior Renovation
  • New Construction
  • Change of use in existing space
  • Installation of Specialized Equipment
  • Furniture/Interior Finishes Design
  • Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Signage and Graphics
