Classroom Advisory Committee
The Classroom Advisory Committee is composed of representatives of all academic units and various administrative units of the university and is intended to advise the Space Administration Committee on decisions affecting classrooms in newly constructed or renovated university space. The committee addresses both demand for classrooms and constraints upon supply, and is a recognized part of the planning process for all capital and non-capital projects involving classrooms. It is co-chaired by the University Registrar and the Associate Architect/Planner for Academic/Research facilities in the Campus Planning Office.
Committee membership list is maintained by the University Registrar.
Student Services & Spaces Advisory Committee
The Student Services and Spaces Advisory Committee is composed of representatives from University Life, Auxiliary Enterprises, Housing/Dining, Facilities, and various student organizations, including Student Government. This committee reviews requests for changes of use or space assignments in student life centered buildings on all of Mason’s campuses (student unions, dining venues, housing buildings, and recreation facilities). The committee addresses demand for additional spaces to accommodate new programming or growth needs, and is a recognized part of the planning process for all capital and non-capital projects involving student life centered facilities. It is co-chaired by the Associate Vice President for University Life and the Assistant Vice President of Business Services. The committee is staffed by Alissa Karton with University Life.
