Project design collaboration with the Office of the Architect begins with consultant selection and concludes with the approval of preliminary design. All University building projects must be reviewed and the conceptual and preliminary designs approved by certain committees and boards including the State Art and Architectural Review Board.

 Working closely with the Office of the Architect, each project's manager is responsible for coordinating reviews and submissions. As approved projects proceed into design development and working drawings, they must be reviewed by agencies for code compliance, fire safety, erosion control, storm water management, water quality, safety and security, etc.

It is the goal of all the projects to meet the users' needs and program requirements, fit within the University's Master Plan requirements and add to overall quality of campus environment.
